Was there a lunch break people?

No! There is no lunch break on Mondays! And there was no lunch on any of the Mondays we just passed in the last ten weeks! OMG!

But who needs lunch when you got all this stuff to worry about, think about,  procrastinate on and generally attempt to wrap your brain around.

On Monday mornings at 8:30 we have a class first up called directing television p.... and thats all it really says on the timetable, BUT its not important what it's called, its important what it's about. Chris Richards-Scully teaches us how to direct and work with actors, and how to achieve our visions when directing a film.

I have taken away a lot of new knowledge of the complexities of the director in this class and learned the director needs to be prepaid down to a T. For example I'd hate to think of the job the Christopher Nolens and David Flinchers of the world have when taking on big million dollar projects that shoot over weeks and weeks and have to be on track with the story, the characters and most importantly the VISION.

Now I know how every scene and nuance in a film is captured by the director, what's going on in frame with the characters, the actors themselves, the story overall ect.

So is directing for me? I still think I'm more of a writer. I don't have a large leadership commanding voice, but when asked to take on the role of director for Emily Calder's "Animals For Entertainment" documentary, something in me couldn't say no, was it my vision of the film, what it could become, how the story as a whole develops,....or was it, as my pal Misa said at the start of the year, I just wanna be like John Woo and say "Action!"
